Authorities have released the name of a 76-year-old man who was killed in an accident on Interstate-70 yesterday.
Edward Trousil Sr., 76, of Golden, was driving a gray 1998 Jeep Cherokee east on the highway at about noon yesterday when he lost control about three miles west of the Evergreen exit, Master Trooper Ron Watkins of the Colorado State Patrol said.
Trousil’s Jeep suddenly veered left across the center lane into the coned off left lane and slammed into the rear of a parked sign truck, Watkins said.
The sign truck, a 2002 Chevy 3500, then struck the back of another truck, a 2002 Ford F-150.
Allen Yoder, 25, of Lakewood, who was in the Chevy, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from St. Anthony Central Hospital, Watkins said. The occupant of the parked Ford truck was not injured.
