U.K. pop-rock band The Cure has postponed its fall U.S. tour, including an Oct. 2 date at Red Rocks.
In a press release, the band members said the schedule gave them only a couple of weeks to complete a new double album, and they had decided to postpone the tour until spring.
Rescheduled dates have not yet been announced. Fans who purchased tickets can hold onto them and they will be honored at the spring shows, or refunds will be provided at the point of purchase.
In the release, the band said: “We also want to create a new live show for North America, and incorporate new songs and we need time and focus to do this. So although we can agree it is a great shame to move these dates we honestly feel that in the bigger picture we are making the right decision.”
