The Fleming turnaround continues, and hopes are especially high this season. The Wildcats have by far the most talent returning. They were down a few years ago and have been steadily climbing and building. Now they seem poised for a special run. And it could last the next two seasons, with junior standout Lynnae Cox leading the charge. The Wildcats have just one state title at the school – girls basketball in 1981. Otis, which is after its first volleyball state championship since 2002 and third since 1998, has a nice selection of talent and will be right up there. While defending champion Kit Carson is sure to be savoring its first state title in girls sports, the Wildcats should put on a good title defense. Flagler is still mixing its talent, but should be there in the end. Also keep an eye on McClave and Merino.
