The returning talent is thick in this class. Out of last season’s first-team all-state selections, five of the six return as seniors. Two of those players, Megan Hiss and 2A player of the year Amanda Paradisa, belong to defending champion Hoehne, which lost two starters to graduation. Farmers coach Kathy Neve feels really good about her team, but she’s wary of the field. The other returning first-teamers are Breann Nesselhuf (Swink), RaeLynn Snyder (Simla) and Morgan Witzel (Burlington). Fowler has warranted the most warnings from coaches, and tradition only validates it. Tradition also warrants respect to Meeker and Rangely as well as Sangre de Cristo. Sedgwick County is another program that will be strong.
