Lakewood — A 32-year-old man died this afternoon of apparent natural causes while riding a motorcycle on a dirt track in front of family and spectators, who hurriedly tried life-saving techniques, West Metro Fire officials said.

The identity of the man was not available.

Emergency crews were dispatched about 4:30 p.m., to the Thunder Valley Motorcycle Park, 2718 South Cole Court, where bystanders were administering CPR to the victim, West Metro Fire spokeswoman Micki Trost said.

The man wasn’t racing at the time and appeared to just go down, Trost said.

Paramedics also administered CPR and a Flight For Life helicopter was dispatched, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The county coroner is on scene to investigate, Trost said.
