BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Level 3 Communications says CEO James Q. Crowe is recovering from surgery for a benign tumor on his pituitary gland.
The company says the surgery encountered no complications and Crowe is expected to resume his work schedule within three weeks.
The outcome was announced Thursday but the company did not say when the operation took place.
The tumor was discovered during a routine physical examination.
Broomfield-based Level 3 is a communications network provider.
