VAIL, Colo.—A delivery truck driver was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal collision involving seven vehicles on Interstate 70.
Jeremy Williams, 30, of Clifton is accused of hitting the back of a pickup truck driven by Dustin Scriver, 20, of Eagle on Aug. 16. Scriver and other drivers had been stopped on the highway because of construction at the time and the collision with his pickup triggered the chain reaction crash.
Scriver was critically injured and died the following day after being flown to Denver Health Medical Center.
Williams faces charges of careless driving causing death, three counts of careless driving causing bodily injury and two counts of careless driving, all misdemeanors.
