Weak golf offering

So the FedEx Cup series is important? The No. 1 golfer is taking a week off. The PGA will only televise the first two rounds on The Golf Channel. No one (including many of the players) understand how the event works. And the public yawns for four weeks while waiting to see which of the many millionaires wins an annuity that most don’t need. Even the six months of hype can’t help this puppy.

Hurdle must go

While the Rockies now have a good foundation, this is as good as they get as long as Clint Hurdle is the manager. He’s an idiot, an absolute idiot. He doesn’t know how to handle a pitching staff, which is what’s killed this team. When your relievers have almost as many innings as your starters, it’s a problem.

Not bringing in a pitcher for one particular batter is a problem. Having a reliever get his brains beat out and the game out of reach before you replace him is a problem. Having pitchers giving up three to five hits and one run and being replaced in the fifth and sixth innings is? Yeah, a problem, you idiot. The idiot and his entire staff need to be gone at the end of this year. If not? Expect the same thing next year. Then management becomes the idiot.
