What should a homeowner take into consideration before beginning a bathroom remodel?

(With) bathrooms, it is imperative that you set a budget first, then get bids from all of the subcontractors needed to complete the work. There will be tile work (which can be minimal or extravagant, depending on the predetermined design), electrical work (if new lighting, floor heating or ceiling fans are installed), plumbing (both pulling and then reinstalling the tub and fixtures) and even glass installation if a new ceiling to countertop mirror is to be installed. Mirrors can also be custom-made in frames to go over the sinks, and this price should be determined before construction begins. If you know what you will be spending, it makes the trip down refurbishing lane a little easier to walk.
