Frontier Airlines’ board named D. Dale Browning the company’s new chairman, succeeding Sam Addoms, who is retiring.

The board elected Browning, a retired bank executive, after the company’s annual shareholder meeting today. It was also Frontier chief executive Jeff Potter’s last day, with his successor Sean Menke officially stepping into the CEO position Friday.

Browning has been on Frontier’s board since 1996. He was president and chief executive of Colorado National Bank from 1985 until 1992, when it was acquired by US Bank.
