DENVER—The Denver Broncos signed free-agent linebacker Jamie Winborn and waived newly signed tackle Chad Mustard on Tuesday.
Tampa Bay released Winborn on Sept. 1. He had a career-high 14 special-teams tackles and six stops on defense for the Buccaneers last season. The seventh-year player also has seen time with Jakcsonville and San Francisco.
The Broncos signed Mustard as a future-contract signee Jan. 3, 2006. He was waived this past Sept. 1 only to be signed again Saturday. Mustard, originally a tight end, made the switch to tackle with the Broncos.
