Hear that? That’s the sound of many fantasy owners getting kicked in the teeth for trying to ride the New Orleans Saints bandwagon to glory. Now, don’t go and get yourself fitted for a paper bag, but one might start considering other players right now, especially as you wait for the Aints’ running game to surface. Perhaps a home game in Week 3 will help.
Trends are starting to rear their heads. Buffalo, Atlanta, Jacksonville and those Saints are having trouble scoring, so beware. Houston, Pittsburgh and Oakland have been pleasant surprises, showing off offenses with multiple threats.
Question of the week: Is Browns quarterback Derek Anderson for real, or are the Bungles just that bad on defense? You might take the plunge if your quarterback situation is dire. Besides, they have to play Cincinnati once more.
Remember, bye weeks begin in Week 4. Always best to make moves early when looking for a one-week mercenary.
