Before boarding a flight for Phoenix, for tonight’s preseason game with the Coyotes, the Avalanche reassigned nine players from its training camp roster.

Sent to the Avs’ American Hockey League, the Lake Erie Monsters, were: J.D. Corbin, left wing; Dan DaSilva, right wing; Brent Kelly, center; Mitch Love, defenseman; Victor Oreskovich, right wing; Andrew Penner, goaltender; Brandon Straub, defenseman; Michael Vernace, defenseman.

The Avalanche also reassigned defenseman Nigel Williams to his junior team, the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League.
