COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—About 65 people were evacuated from an airplane taxiing to a runway at the Colorado Springs Airport after smoke was reported in the cockpit.
Comair spokeswoman Kate Marx says about 60 passengers and four crew members were evacuated from Flight 5650 as a precaution Tuesday afternoon.
The flight was scheduled to go from Colorado Springs to Cincinnati. Passengers were rebooked on later flights.
Airport officials say no injuries were reported, and airport operations were not disrupted.
The cause of the smoke was not immediately clear. Marx says the plane was inspected after the evacuation, and has been cleared for flight.
