Two people were injured after a 27-year-old Grand Junction man suspected of using drugs sped away from a state trooper in Mesa County, ran a red light and collided with a pickup.

Clinton Corley was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with moderate injuries, said Trooper J.J. Sewell, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol. Corley was driving a 1989 Jeep Cherokee about 5 p.m. last night when he fled police, Sewell said.

Bryan Hultberg, 50, of Clifton was taken to Community Hospital with fractured ribs, Sewell said. He was later released. Hultberg was driving a 1978 Chevrolet pickup hit by Corley, Sewell said.
