Carl Edwards escaped trouble to win at Dover International Speedway in the second Chase for the championship race, although he failed a postrace inspection that could cost him points. There were 13 caution periods in the race, and only four Chase drivers finished in the top 10. “This place has great potential for disaster,” he said.
