One person has been confirmed dead in an off-road accident west of Fort Collins in which a four-wheel-drive vehicle rolled over.
Five people were in a Toyota 4-Runner about 7 p.m. Saturday when it swerved to avoid two other vehicles and rolled off a dirt road near Highway 14 at milepost 97, in the Roosevelt National Forest north of Rocky Mountain National Park.
No one in the 4-Runner was wearing a seat belt.
The dead victim was identified Sunday night as Michael J. Morgan, 20, a Colorado State University student.
The driver, Robert Bowling, 21 of Fort Collins, received moderate injuries, the State Patrol said. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail on Saturday night on charges of vehicular homicide.
The three other passengers were from Fort Collins and all received minor injuries. They were identified as Valerie Baum, 20; Erin Butler, 21; and Monica Williams, 22.
The other occupants were treated for minor injuries.
