COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Tennessee company plans to build housing at military bases in Colorado Springs and Los Angeles under a public-private partnership with partnership with the Air Force.

Nashville-based Actus Lend Lease will have a 50-year deal to provide housing at Peterson, Schriever and Los Angeles Air Force bases.

Schriever, which currently has no family housing, would get 242 homes and duplex units, with construction starting next spring and finishing by 2010.

At Peterson, 450 existing houses would be demolished and replaced with 597 homes and duplexes by 2013. Another 53 houses would remain.

Details of the Los Angeles project were not immediately available.

A formal announcement was expected later Wednesday.
