DENVER—Bob McMahon, an assistant coach for the Arizona Sting of the National Lacrosse League, was hired as head coach of the Colorado Mammoth on Wednesday.
McMahon was the league’s coach of the year in 2002 after leading the Albany Attack to a division title and an appearance in the league championship game.
He replaces Gary Gait, who was hired to coach the Syracuse University women’s team after coaching the Mammoth for two seasons.
