INDIANAPOLIS—Indianapolis Colts linebacker Rob Morris was limited in practice Wednesday but expects to return to action Sunday against Denver.

Morris missed the last two games with an abdominal strain, which he identified as an oblique muscle. Coach Tony Dungy said last week that Morris’ pain tolerance would be determined when he returned, and Morris was on the inactive list Sunday for the second straight week.

“I told Tony I should be OK as long as I don’t have to run around or breathe hard,” Morris said, drawing laughter. “I plan to do some stuff today, more tomorrow and then we’ll see.”

If Morris can’t play, Rocky Boiman would replace him for the third straight game. Boiman made three tackles, intercepted a pass and broke up another pass in the last two games, helping stabilize a unit that was already thin because of injuries to Morris and Freddy Keiaho.

Dungy also said Wednesday that rookie receiver Roy Hall has a separated left shoulder and is likely to miss several weeks. Hall was injured in a violent collision with Houston defensive tackle Cedric Killings in the Colts’ 30-24 victory Sunday.

Killings was taken off on a stretcher, later diagnosed with a fractured vertebra and has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

The Colts (3-0) also practiced without two starters on their offensive line Wednesday, tackle Tony Ugoh (left ankle) and guard Ryan Lilja (knee). Also sitting out were starting cornerback Marlin Jackson (quad), backup cornerback Tim Jennings (knee) and linebackers Tyjuan Hagler and Clint Session (hamstring).
