A man was charged today with sexually assaulting his girlfriend, punching her 18-month-old daughter and resisting arrest when police arrived.
Joseph Roberts, 30, was charged with sexual assault, misdemeanor child abuse, third degree assault, assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to a news release from the Denver District Attorney’s office.
The charges allege Roberts was fighting with his 26-year-old girlfriend on Sept. 23 when he hit the daughter, assaulted his girlfriend and hit police while resisting arrest.
He is being held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled in court Friday.
