DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche reassigned forward Cody McCormick to their AHL affiliate in Cleveland Monday.
The move reduces the roster to 24.
McCormick began last season with the Avalanche but missed the first 13 games with a chest injury. In six games with the Avs last year, he had one assist and six penalty minutes.
In December, he was reassigned to Albany of the AHL, where he had eight goals and eight assists in 42 games.
