A Highlands Ranch Wal-Mart was evacuated after a construction crew accidently cut a 3-inch gas line inside an addition to the store, officials say.

Following the 8:15 a.m. accident, reverse 911 calls to a nearby apartment complex asked residents to shut their windows, said Jim Hofstra, Littleton fire spokesman.

The gas line at the Wal-Mart, 6675 Business Center Dr., was shut down by 9:30 a.m., Hofstra said.

No one was injured, Hofstra said.
