Former lab tech charged in biting of boy, 3
INDIANAPOLIS — A former lab technician accused of biting a 3-year-old boy’s shoulder to restrain him during a blood test was charged Tuesday with battery.
Police said Anne McGlorthon, 53, told them she bit the boy because he bit her.
The boy’s mother, Faith Buntin, said she took her son, Victor, to St. Vincent Hospital on Sept. 21 because of recent recalls of toys involving lead. She said the worker later identified as McGlorthon put her mouth on Victor’s shoulder while restraining him so another lab worker could draw blood.
After they returned home, Buntin said she saw teeth marks on his left shoulder.
McGlorthon could face six months to three years in prison if convicted.
Simpson loses assets to slaying victim’s dad
SANTA MONICA, CALIF. — O.J. Simpson was minus a Rolex watch Tuesday after a judge ordered him to hand over assets to the father of slaying victim Ron Goldman.
Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg also ordered the former football star to turn over any future royalties from a video game in which he appears and any of the disputed memorabilia he can prove is his that Las Vegas police seized when they arrested him last month on robbery, kidnapping and other charges.
Simpson attorney Ronald Slates questioned whether it was a real Rolex.
“Know any Rolex watches that sell for 125 bucks?” Slates asked, adding that’s what Simp son told him he paid.
Simpson was acquitted in a criminal trial of the 1994 murders of Ron Goldman and Simp son’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. After their families sued him for wrongful death, a civil-court jury found him liable for the killings and ordered that he pay $33.5 million. Although most of that award remains unpaid, Fred Goldman has been able to seize some of the Pro Football Hall of Famer’s assets.
