BROOMFIELD – Ball Corp. will pay Miller Brewing Co. $70 million to settle a contract dispute between its Ball Metal Beverage Container unit and the Milwaukee-based beer brewer.
The settlement will cost Ball about $86 million in the third quarter, the Broomfield-based company said.
The contract, which makes Ball the only supplier of cans for Miller, has more than eight years left, Ball said in its statement.
