Getting your player ready...

Tony Clark, who probably will get a couple of starts at first base, is the biggest weapon coming off either bench in this series. The veteran switch hitter hit just .249 during the regular season, but he’s a traditional Rockies killer. He had four home runs and 13 RBIs in 31 at-bats against Colorado this season and had six home runs in September.

Alberto Callaspo (.215) and Jeff Salazar (.277) are the other bats most often used off the bench.

Salazar, a former Rockies outfielder, provided some big at-bats down the stretch, plus he can play all three outfield positions. The Rockies always prized his arm, and he’s better known for his defense than his bat.
