Vail Resorts Inc. has partnered with White Wave Foods Co., maker of Horizon Organic dairy products and Silk soy-milk products, and Coleman Natural Foods to offer skiers and snowboarders healthier fare under an “Appetite for Life” partnership.

The three Colorado companies made the announcement Wednesday at Denver’s Hotel Monaco. The natural meat and organic dairy will be offered in 40 dining centers at five Vail Resorts properties.

“If your product is the outdoors, you have to do the right thing to help protect it,” said Rob Katz, chief executive of Broomfield-based Vail Resorts.

The exclusive deals with Horizon and Coleman are part of Vail’s green initiatives that include buying wind power, partnering with the National Forest Foundation and building a green development.
