Tony Romo vs. Tom Brady. Terrell Owens vs. Randy Moss. The Cowboys vs. the Patriots. Two 5-0 teams that don’t particularly care for one another.

What’s that? OK, I’ll stop. Truth is, this game doesn’t need any advertising. One look at the NFL standings tells you how big it is. Or is it?

“Let’s not make more of it than it is,” Pats cornerback Ellis Hobbs said. “This is not, quote, unquote, a Super Bowl matchup.”

Yeah, well, who asked you, kid? Next time, leave the hype to us professionals.

By the numbers: Moss and Owens have been on opposite sidelines three times in their careers. In those three games, they have totaled six touchdown catches.

So which one will be the key figure Sunday? Probably neither of the above. You know the drill with these kinds of games. An unsung hero usually steps up and makes the difference.

Two such candidates in this one are tight ends Jason Witten, who leads the Cowboys with 29 catches and four receiving touchdowns, and Benjamin Watson, whose five TD catches are second on the team to Moss’ seven.
