Enjoy one of the last days of Indian Summer today, as the weather is predicted to get chilly and wet over the weekend.
Sunday’s forecast calls for rain and temperatures in the low 50s, perfect for runners in the early morning Denver Marathon but lousy for baseball fans watching the first home game in the Rockies’ National League Championship series against the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday night.
Today will bring a warm close to what has been an enjoyable and very colorful fall. Today will be dry with temperatures in the mid 70s.
Saturday will begin the decline into colder temperatures in the 60s, with rain showers forecast for Saturday night.
The higher portions of the mountains will receive more snow this weekend. The lower elevations will be in the 60s today, and 40s and 50s this weekend.
Monday should warm into the 60s and remain dry for Game 4 at Coors Field.
