Today’s weather will dry out the weekend’s rain, and warm up slightly this afternoon, just in time for the Arizona Diamondbacks to again face the Rockies, who have moved within a victory of the World Series.
After a cold and very wet Sunday night, temperatures today will reach the 60s with some sunshine, enough to dry things out tonight for Game 4 of the National League Championship Series. The game starts at 8:18 p.m.
Temperatures by game time will drop into the 40s, so dress warmly.
In the high country, more than a foot of snow has fallen, according to Loveland Ski Resort, which planned to open on Tuesday. They promised a 1,000-foot vertical run with a minimum packed base of 18 inches.
“Thanks to the foot of natural snow we received and the efforts of our snowmakers, this will be one of the best opening days in recent memories,” said Loveland marketing director John Sellers, in a press release.
Snowmass reported eight inches of snow, while Aspen Mountain received six inches. They open Nov. 22.
Elsewhere in the state, clouds and moisture will clear out during the day. Tonight, temperatures in the mountains will drop into the low 30s.
Tuesday is expected to remain dry, with more moisture forecast for Wednesday.
