The latest in the series of statehood quarters made its debut at the Denver Mint this morning.
The final quarter of 2007 is Utah, the 45th quarter in the series.
The scene on the back of the quarter commemorates the historic joining of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads at Promontory Summit on May 1869. There are two trains moving toward the golden spike that joined the two railroads.
Utah Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert was among those in attendance at the coin’s debut.
