Hillary Rodham Clinton is slated to swing through metro Denver on Tuesday to raise cash for her presidential bid.

The U.S. senator from New York is scheduled to appear at two fundraisers — a dinner at the home of EchoStar chairman Charlie Ergen and a lower-ticket dessert co-hosted by former Lt. Gov. Gail Schoettler at the home of Democratic activist Judi Wagner.

Rodham Clinton also will appear at a public event at Metropolitan State College of Denver.

The band Big Head Todd and the Monsters will perform at a rally on the Auraria campus at 4 p.m. Rodham Clinton is scheduled to appear at about 4:30.

Rodham Clinton out-raised every other presidential contender in Colorado last quarter but trails Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney in total contributions here. So far, she has raised $531,000 in Colorado while Romney has brought in $683,000. Obama has out-raised the pack from both major parties here with $1.2 million.

Tuesday’s whistle-stop is expected to be Rodham Clinton’s last in Colorado before primaries and caucuses begin this winter.
