VAIL, Colo.—A Los Angeles man died Thursday after he was hit by a vehicle in East Vail while removing chains from the semitrailer he was driving.
Eduardo Gandarilla, 36, was hit once by a semitrailer and may have been hit by at least one other vehicle driving west on Interstate 70, Vail Police Cmdr. Susan Douglas told the Vail Daily.
“There is a possibility he was hit multiple times,” Douglas said.
Gandarilla died at Vail Valley Medical Center, authorities said. The cause of the crash and Gandarilla’s death was under investigation, she said.
