Wave goodbye to Saturday’s blue skies.
Snow, wind and cold temperatures are expected across the Front Range Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
A snowstorm fueled by 20 to 30 mph winds will hit the metro area from the east early Sunday with an 80 percent chance of moisture.
One to 3 inches of wet snow is expected by afternoon, but more than a foot could fall in higher elevations.
After Saturday’s high of 72 degrees, temperatures will fall almost 30 degrees below average to a frosty 36-degree high for Sunday.
The good news: The storm is expected to move away almost as quickly as it arrives, with Monday returning to sunny skies and a high of 47 degrees.
