Denver Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the driver of a car involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning.
The victim, a 25-year-old male, has not been identified, pending notification of family members.
He was walking across Lincoln Street near East Eighth Avenue at 2:28 a.m. when he was struck by a car going west on Eighth Avenue, according to Sonny Jackson, Denver Police spokesman.
The car was described as a late 1980s or early 1990s metallic gray or blue car. The driver “sped off” on Eighth Avenue after hitting the pedestrian, Jackson said.
He said the car probably has a broken windshield and “major front-end damage.”
