Blue Moon Belgian White, $6.99 per six-pack

With 50,000 or so fans packing Coors Field this weekend for the World Series, Coors Brewing deserves props for bringing Blue Moon, a quite serviceable craft beer, to the masses beginning in 1995.

This is a Belgian-style wheat beer (also known as a wit), unfiltered and brimming with orange and grapefruit notes as well as coriander. This ballpark brew yields a golden-amber pour with a nice, fragrant head that diminishes fairly quickly. It’s a quencher with a clean, brisk finish, and 5.4 percent alcohol by volume.

A perfect refresher during summer games, it should still satisfy discriminating tastes come this weekend, when nice weather is forecast for the Rockies to whip some National League ball on the interlopers from Beantown.
