A man who prosecutors say charmed and then abused women was sentenced to more than seven decades in prison, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Jimmie Wellman was convicted of attempted murder, assault and being a habitual offender and sentenced Monday to the maximum of 76 years, said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s office.
He was convicted in September.
Wellman beat a woman in a room at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in February 2006, prosecutors charged.
