THE DENVER HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Announced the addition of Mary Santos as vice president of business development.

GOVERNOR’S CONFERENCE ON TOURISM: State Sen. Jim Isgar, D-Hesperus, was recently named the 2007 recipient of the Chairman’s Award for his positive impact on tourism in the state.

WALSH & ASSOCIATES INC.: Named David J. Hornbecker as a sales representative for the Denver sales region.

SOCIETY OF AMERICAN TRAVEL WRITERS: Honored Jad Davenport of Denver as a top winner in the 23rd annual Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition. Davenport won a silver award in the Environmental Tourism category.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION: Appointed James R. Rucker as an administrative law judge in the Denver office.

DENVER ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: Announced that forensic pathologist Dr. Amy Martin will be Denver’s new chief medical examiner. Her appointment will follow the resignation of Dr. Robert Whitmore, effective Dec. 14.

CATTLE-FAX: Named Tom Field as a part-time consultant. Field serves as professor of beef cattle management systems at Colorado State University.

SHERMAN & HOWARD: Named Lynda Atkins, Christian Brann, Haley Burton, Angela Gasperini, Jody Kepler, David Rontal, Teri Scott and Angie Whitford as associates in the Denver office.
