A new park will be named Jared Jensen Park in honor of the police detective killed Feb. 22, 2006.
The new park is located on the city’s east side in the general neighborhood where Jensen resided. A dedication ceremony is scheduled at 1 p.m. today .
Jensen was attempting to arrest Jereme Lamberth when he was shot to death.
