Tonight-Saturday. Theater. Actors portray Victorian authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and Bram Stoker in the 16th annual Victorian Horrors at the Molly Brown House Museum. With creaking floors and flickering candles, this is a rare chance to see the legendary Titanic survivor’s haunting, 14-room Victorian mansion at night. Guests move from room to room to hear classic horror stories told by actors such as David Payne, Julia E. Payne and Jim Hunt. Performances begin every 15 minutes from 6-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1340 Pennsylvania St., in Capitol Hill. $16 (303-832-4092, ext. 16) or molly . Two Halloween Full Teas also will be offered Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. ($19, reservations required).

Tonight-Sunday. Ballet. Few stories have been retold more often and in more varied formats than Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” One of the most effective versions of the vampire tale is choreographer Michael Pink’s deliciously macabre dance adaptation, which the Colorado Ballet has made a Halloween tradition in Denver. Breaking from the mannered narratives of classical ballet, it emphasizes a flowing story line with nonstop action that reaches almost breathless intensity at times. The remaining performances this year are set for 7:30 p.m. today, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Tickets are $19-$125. 303-837-8888 or .

Monday. Music. The Hives are often considered one of the best live bands. And at one point in their career, they were. But like all great live bands, these Swedish garage maestros couldn’t keep up the intensity. And it’s not that they’re a bad live band now, because they’re still quite lively and exciting – reminiscent of the Stones’ early days. Thankfully the music remains solid – bright, melodic, garage rock that is nothing if not hooky. The Hives open the first Maroon 5 show at the Fillmore Auditorium on Monday, which is sold out, and fans are crazy if they don’t get there on time (7:30 p.m.) to catch the madness. Note: The Hives are not playing the Maroon 5 show on Tuesday at the Fillmore. More info: .

Tuesday. One-man show. Humorist and writer David Sedaris, right, regularly garners the kind of praise one would reserve for historical figures and literary heroes, but to his followers, he’s just that. The New York-centric satirist, best- known for books like “Me Talk Pretty One Day” and the play “Santaland Diaries,” will visit the Buell Theater on Tuesday for “An Evening With David Sedaris,” a one-man reading, Q&A and book signing. 7:30 p.m. $32-$36, 303-893-4100 or .
