Although their contract with KOA 850 AM radio states the Broncos have priority in all programming conflicts, the team has agreed to move Monday night’s broadcast against the Green Bay Packers to KHOW 630 AM if the Rockies are playing Game 5 of the World Series against the Boston Red Sox.
“This is about Pat Bowlen being a nice guy,” team executive vice president Joe Ellis said, referring to the Broncos owner. “Everyone is on the bandwagon.”
The Broncos game, which will be played at Invesco Field at Mile High, will be moved from 6:40 p.m. to 6:05 if there is a World Series Game 5, which is scheduled to be played at Coors Field.
