Three additional people have been arrested for jumping up and down on a Denver police car parked outside Coors Field to celebrate a Colorado Rockies victory.

The raucous celebration happened in the early morning hours of Oct. 16 after the Rockies’ Oct. 15 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks that clinched the National League pennant.

Out-of-control celebrants, captured on videotape, caused significant damage to the car, Denver police said today in a news release.

Police identified one of the three suspects recently arrested as 22-year-old Manuel Tapia.

The other two suspects were not identified by police because they are minors.

So far, a total of five suspects, who face charges of felony criminal mischief, have been arrested.

“We encourage the fans to come and enjoy the Rockies making history in Lower Downtown, but celebrate in a safe and respectable manner,” police said in the release. “Any acts of vandalism, destruction, or riotous behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone caught acting in this manner will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

If convicted, the rowdy, jumping fans face up to 6 years in prison, police said, and paying for the damage to the car.

Police did not release a dollar amount on the damage.
