Monday night might get crazy.
If the Rockies are still alive, it’s their last home game against the Red Sox.
“Monday Night Football” is in town, with the Broncos facing the Packers.
And Colorado historian Tom “Dr. Colorado” Noel leads a haunted tour of the Governor’s Mansion.
It’s all so scary that Noel had a heart attack. No joke.
Last week Noel had some chest pains in the night, so his wife, Vi, took him to St. Joe’s Hospital.
“I felt a little foolish,” he says. “By that time I was feeling fine.”
But it’s lucky he was in the emergency room – because just then a full-blown heart attack smacked him.
“They call it the ‘widow-maker,”‘ he says. “I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest.”
They popped him some nitro, gave him a stent, and now he’s fine – he just has to watch what he eats and drinks. One glass of wine a day, so he plans on ordering it by the pint.

Boo! Saturday night in LoDo might be even scarier. It’s the first World Series home game – and many LoDo and downtown bars are holding their annual Halloween costume parties.
It’s the Blackout Party at Martini Ranch; Rum & Wenches Epic Swashbuckling Halloween Party at The Loft; the Haunted Mansion Party at Monarch; Hallow Freak’n Ween at an undisclosed location; and Rise nightclub’s annual costume contest.
The sexiest Halloween party is always Kevin Larson’s Victorian Fetish Ball at Diamond Cabaret, with dominatrixes, belly dancers, fire eaters, peelers – and a near-naked crowd. He’ll have the game on TV – because he knows he has to, but there’s plenty to watch at this party. Check it out at victorian .
Talkin’ baseball. Ball fans won’t want to miss the Denver Forum and Denver Post’s World Series Special Event at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Oxford. The panelists include ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian (author of “Is This a Great Game, or What?”), Mayor John Hickenlooper, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis. Call 303-832-9030. … Carrie Underwood is down to sing the national anthem at Saturday’s game in Denver. … Meanwhile, Richard Gere attended Thursday’s game in Boston.
No-shows. I’ll tell you who’s not coming to Denver for the World Series – Boston bold names Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner.
He’s committed to be at the reopening gala of Boston’s Children’s Museum on Saturday night – and she’s performing on Broadway in the play “Cyrano de Bergerac.”
City spirit. Anna Alejo is leaving CBS4 to head Western Union’s corporate communications worldwide. … Cokie Roberts and Ambassador Swanee Hunt speak at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado 20th annual Luncheon Nov. 14 at the Colorado Convention Center. … Sez who: “A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.” Earl Wilson
