DES MOINES, Iowa—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $43 million for Saturday, since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing.
The randomly selected numbers on Wednesday were 10, 11, 18, 49 and 52. The Powerball was 2 and the multiplier was 4.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $33.8 million jackpot.
A ticket sold in North Carolina matched the first five numbers only to win $200,000.
The top prize in Colorado was $40,000 for a Power Play ticket that matched the Powerball and four of the other numbers.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
