Centennial — A judge found Friday that there was probable cause to proceed with the case of Aaron Thompson, who was indicted on 60 charges in the death of his daughter, Aaroné.
By Monday, Arapahoe County District Judge Mark Hannen will also decide whether a Denver Post motion to unseal the court file will be granted.
The court has unsealed only the counts of the indictment with the names redacted or blackened out but no factual evidence.
In May, Thompson was indicted on numerous charges, including child abuse resulting in death. Thompson reported the 6-year-old girl missing Nov. 14, 2005. He and his common-law wife, Shelley Lowe, were considered “persons of interest” in the case. Lowe died a year ago of a heart attack.
Aaroné’s body has never been found.
