CASTLE ROCK, Colo.—A Parker woman accused of hiding her baby boy’s decomposing body in her college dormitory room has been sentenced to probation and ordered to get mental-health counseling.

Addie Kubisiak pleaded guilty to concealing a death, a misdemeanor. She was sentenced Friday.

Her sentence also includes 50 hours of public service.

Kubisiak originally faced charges of murder and fatal child abuse. Prosecutors dropped those charges because they said they couldn’t prove the child was born alive.

Authorities said they found the baby’s body in January in the ceiling of Kubisiak’s room at Western State College in Gunnison.
