AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—A senior airman at the Air Force Academy has been sentenced to 30 months of confinement after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.
Carlos M. Martinez joined the Air Force in 2003 and was assigned to the academy’s 10th Security Forces Squadron. He had been assigned to guard the academy’s entry gates and was awarded the Army Achievement Medal after a deployment to the Middle East, the Air Force said.
He will be dishonorably discharged from the service when he completes his sentence, which was handed down at a court-martial Friday.
