KIMBALL, Neb.—A truck driver was killed Friday when a wheel fell off his rig, causing it to roll.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Eric Thomas Bachmeier of Greeley, Colo.
Authorities said Bachmeier was driving on U.S. Highway 71 south of Kimball when the left, rear wheel of his semi fell off. The rig rolled, and Bachmeier was thrown from the cab.
