GREELEY, Colo.—Zak Bigelow’s 37-yard field goal with four seconds left gave Northern Colorado a 16-13 win Saturday over Montana State to break the Bears’ 16-game losing streak.

It was the first Big Sky Conference win for the Bears (1-8, 1-4 Big Sky) since joining the league last season.

Northern Colorado led 13-6 late in the fourth quarter until Jack Rolovich hit Demetrius Crawford on an 8-yard pass for a touchdown with 48 seconds left. Eric Fisher’s extra point was good to give Montana State (5-3, 3-2) a 13-13 tie.

Cory Fauver returned the kickoff 51 yards for Northern Colorado to set up Bigelow’s winning field goal.

Rolovich was 28-of-47 passing for 346 yards and a touchdown but also had three interceptions for Montana State.

Bears quarterback Dominic Breazeale was 19-for-31 for a career-high 266 yards and a touchdown, with one interception.

Quincy Wofford intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble for Northern Colorado, D.J. Craft had an interception, and Asa Matthews recovered a fumble.
