Two firefighters sustained second-degree burns while fighting a fire in Loveland Saturday night.
Crews with Loveland Fire and Rescue responded to a residential garage fire at 4407 Sunridge Dr. at 9:40 p.m., Battalion Chief Jeff Genger said.
The injured firemen were trying to cut open the garage door when an explosion blew them down the driveway, Genger said.
The two were taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies and treated for second-degree burns to their hands.
Fire crews found several propane tanks in the garage and are investigating whether one of the tanks ignited and caused the explosion.
Genger did not know the extent of the damage to the garage, but said the fire was contained shortly before 10 p.m.
